VZnet Netzwerke Ltd. was created in October 2005 as studiVZ Ltd. and has belonged to the Georg von Holtzbrinck Publishing Group since January 2007.

As market leader in Germany we have more than 16 million registered members on our three platforms studiVZ.net, schuelerVZ.net, and meinVZ.net. Our growth continues, with thousands of new users joining every day.

Our goal is to build on the success of our platforms, and to remain the largest and most successful network in the German speaking area. The CEO of VZnet Netzwerke Ltd. is Dr. Clemens Riedl. The company’s headquarters are in Berlin, and it currently has around 300 employees.

About meinVZ

meinVZ is the network for everything that goes on outside of work. You can use the platform to find and stay in touch with your friends, colleagues, and people you’ve lost contact with. meinVZ has been online since February 2008 and has more than 4 million registered users. meinVZ and studiVZ users can connect with each other across the two platforms – creating a community of more than 10 million members.

About studiVZ

studiVZ.net is the largest online network for students in the German speaking area, allowing students to keep in contact with their friends and classmates. More than 6 million registered members have already made studiVZ an important part of university life, and are using the platform to help make the European university experience more enjoyable.

About schülerVZ

schülerVZ is Europe’s largest online network for pupils over the age of twelve, allowing them to communicate with their friends and classmates in a secure environment. Pupils can set up their own personal profiles, upload photos, start and take part in discussion groups, send one another messages, and write on each other’s notice boards. Online since February 2007, the network is enjoying remarkable popularity: There are currently more than 5.5 million pupils using schülerVZ, and they have founded more than 4.9 million interest groups and uploaded more than 200 million photos.
